Hello everyone, I'm teacher Bree from Skybel. I studied Bachelor of Science in nursing back in my university.
Although this major isn't relevant to my current career job, this doesn't hinder me from sharing my knowledge and skills in teaching English as a second language to non-native speakers. I have an experience in teaching daily English, Business English, English interview and IELTS for many years.
I've taught different students from different levels, from beginners to advance and from ages 6 to 55.
I believe that teaching is a passion and I would say that I enjoy it a lot. The way of teaching actually depends on the student's level. I believe that a teacher should be able to assess the student’s ability and adopt to it.
As for my classes, it may include reading activities, question and answer comprehension, check logic and most importantly, Interactions.
I also love giving corrections when necessary. For me, giving corrections is one of my ways to let the students know that I am listening to what they are saying. For example, if they have grammatical errors, mispronounced words and improper use of vocabulary corrections also help them improve themselves.
Although it requires a great patience and effort to be able to teach students, I'm still looking forward to many years of teaching. I'm very engaged with conversations, whether these are formal and structured business English lessons or free flowing and structured discourse about controversial topics. Regarding the way I teach, I'm pretty much direct to the point that is, I let you speak and I listen to it intently so that I can provide corrections.Also, I tried to address your language weaknesses. What do I mean by that? Well, people have language weaknesses.
That's letting them hesitate a lot, become less fluent, and become less communicative. That's actually leading them to be misunderstood by others. Well, it's my job to determine that so that I can address it by giving tips.
